A message from Tom
Thank you for visiting our website and giving us a listen. If you are here reading this, then you must want to learn more about what brought each of us here. For me, there were two driving factors.
First, I have watched firsthand my loving wife Danielle and my best friend Paul (our lead guitarist) go through their personal battles with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Like many of you, I just want to help, and they each have expressed to me that patience, understanding, and compassion is what they need most from their friends and family. This music project is one way to help do that.
The second driver is around my work experiences in helping advance personal protective equipment for U.S. Military and Law Enforcement. The U.S. Military has 4 areas of focus when considering the capabilities of their warfighters: Lethality, mobility, survivability, and sustainability. Survivability, the area I was personally focused on, refers generally to the ability to withstand and recover an enemy assault. In the 15 years I was involved in this industry, the advancements made were incredible, but there were (are) unintended consequences of this success. As we made warfighters more "survivorable" it meant that more service members would be able to go back and fight and more would come home to live with the traumas of war. More needs to be done to ensure they not only survive the fight, but also come home to live a high quality of life. Every little bit counts, and I hope this project and this music contribute to that. Thank you for listening.
